Join Anisha Fraser for her Winter Wellness Mini Retreat to experience a peaceful, contemplative, spacious and comfortable environment for movement, healing, and connecting with yourself.

 

During the winter season, the energy of the earth and its creatures is drawn inward. We can tend to get colds and flus as the immunity becomes weaker. We can use this time for restoration and introspection, just as many living beings use it for hibernation, in preparation for spring.

Our fast and overly stimulated lifestyles don’t give us the opportunity to rest fully. We need a way for the fight-or-flight response to calm down, allowing the healing and repair processes to begin. This extended mini retreat is designed to do just that!

A retreat will begin with a Qi Gong form called Tai Chi Dao Yin followed by a taste of a true Qi Gong and Yoga fusion (Pangu yoga). These practices will clear stagnation, release stored tension, improve and restore immunity, and balance your life force energy (Qi).

We will have a 30 min break to just be, rest, have a snack, or soak up as much sunshine as you can! Sunlight helps your body produce vitamin D (which is crucial to ward off illness), relaxes the muscles, combats seasonal mood disorders, and aids the body in maintaining healthy sleep cycles.

The late afternoon will include a simple but very effective Acupuncture treatment, more specifically aligning you with the season of winter, nourishing the organs and emotions that often become depleted at this time.

The group Acupuncture benefits are enhanced by the Qi (energy) healing Anisha emits to the room along with Crystal Sound Bowl Healing.

The mini retreat closes with Pranayama (yogic breathing techniques) to help integrate the treatment and solidify the overall balance of the nervous system and bodily functions.

Winter Wellness is $125 per person. Maximum of 12 students. No experience necessary. All levels welcome.

Please bring a snack and wear loose fitting pants (that you can roll up to your knees) for acupuncture.
