THAT WHICH LASTS
What comes easy won't last. What lasts won't come easy.
Every day more and more and more people are facing an apocalyptic world. The extreme weather, the fear-based neurotic news cycle, political discord, and a pandemic that amplifies the daily chaos, has created mental and emotional upheaval for so many. Abandoning truth and objectivity is wreaking havoc, causing deep suffering and disorder with no end in sight. We cannot live like this for any length of time without feeling like we are caged and dying.
Even if our grievances are completely “justified,” we have constructed an identity for ourselves that is much like a prison whose bars are made of thought forms. Complaining and reactivity are favorite mind patterns through which the ego strengthens itself. For many people, a large part of their mental-emotional activity consists of complaining and reacting against this or that. By doing this, we make others or a situation “wrong” and ourselves “right.” Through being “right,” we feel superior, and through feeling superior, we strengthen our sense of self, that we are grasping for, maybe to feel that we have some form of control in our lives once again. In reality, of course, we are only strengthening an illusion, a false identity, or even the aspect of us that negates life itself.
"We are captured in a culture where our very identity is tied up with our accomplishments. We wear all we have to do like a badge on our shirt for all to see. In this rush to get to the next thing, we have left no time for ourselves to digest and assimilate our lives; this may be our biggest theft of all.”
- Deborah Adele
For many of us, some part of us IS dying right now, so another part can be re-birthed, transformed and changed. And through this change we must find ways to more fully occupy our Divine center, reality and truth, so that the dark clouds of confusion, doubt and loss don't become who we are. That divine light, conscious and rational presence, cannot exist with any lasting capacity, if we are in a place of fear, hatred, irrational thoughts, unnecessary analysis, anger, selfishness and greed. The truth is always found in a bigger place, from a bigger place. And through this calm, broad mind and open heart, we have so much to gain, and nothing to lose. And from this contribution, the world and all your relationships, can only gain, adding to a collective that is seeking truth, beauty and kindness. From this higher ground, that may actually involve taking a step back, we can see more clearly. There is an Ancient Chinese Saying "Retreat in order to Advance".
Join me as I continue to offer weekly Wednesday Yoga and Pangu Yoga workshops, to uphold this direction of life, to uplift, and to inspire us all to move forward with one heart.
PLEASE continue scrolling to be aware of changes to my Wednesday morning Class.
I will no longer be teaching Thursday evenings for the time being. It's a time to refocus and re-evaluate how I am using my time and energy, and how I can best contribute to you and the world.
Love for the journey,
